Terry Gregg

Terry Gregg is a prominent figure in the medical technology industry, particularly known for his leadership role at Dexcom, Inc. He first joined Dexcom's Board of Directors in 2005 and subsequently became the company's President and CEO in 2007, a position he held until January 2015. Following this, he transitioned to the role of Executive Chairman, a position he maintained until his retirement in August 2018.14

During his tenure at Dexcom, Gregg was instrumental in transforming the company into a leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology. Under his leadership, Dexcom launched multiple generations of CGM products and significantly increased its revenue, reaching an estimated $925 million in 2018.4 His efforts not only advanced the company's technology but also helped establish Dexcom's reputation as a vital player in diabetes management, improving the lives of many patients.13

Before joining Dexcom, Gregg had an extensive career in the medical device sector. He served as President of Medtronic MiniMed, where he played a key role in its acquisition by Medtronic in 2001. He also held executive positions at Smith & Nephew and Allergan. Gregg's contributions to the field have been recognized through various awards, including the Angel Award from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in 2010.23

Gregg holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University, which he obtained in 1971. His leadership and vision for Dexcom have left a lasting impact on the company and the diabetes care landscape.2
