Dean, Career and Professional Experience (CAPX)

Executive Director of the CEC, a partner to DePaul's acclaimed Entrepreneurship program. The Center serves as the entrepreneurial hub for DePaul students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The Center develops student entrepreneurs, helps to launch new ventures, and partners with Chicago businesses.

While at the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center from 2012-15, I led a team that produced more than 40 programs a year, including an annual student new venture competition. From 2012-15, the CEC achieved high rankings in the annual Princeton Review of national entrepreneurship programs: For undergraduate programs: #18 (2013), #15 (2014), and #12 (2015), and graduate rankings of #20 (2014) and #15 (2015). It was the only Chicago program to be named to both undergraduate and graduate lists.

Initiated and led the development of the expanded Coleman Entrepreneurship Center, a 4000+ sq ft startup space in the heart of the Loop. Worked with internal and external partners on all aspects of developing the space, from initial architectural renderings to fundraising with corporate sponsors and individual donors.

Executive Director, Coleman Entrepreneurship Center (CEC)

Taught undergraduate and MBA students in the Driehaus College of Business in Entrepreneurship, Creativity, New Venture Management (MBA startups class). I also designed and taught a Business History course, "The History of American Entrepreneurs," which focused on a pairing of a contemporary and historic entrepreneurial company each week. Among the pairings: Tesla and Ford Motor; Starbucks and McDonald's; and Amazon and the early days of Wal-Mart.

Terri Lonier Consulting

Faculty and Supervisor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy program for both undergraduate and graduate students at the nation's largest private college focused on the visual, performing, and media arts. While at Columbia College, I developed a new experiential curriculum to teach Entrepreneurship to undergraduate and graduate students from across the college.
