Teri VanHall is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in design, facilitation, and holistic management of experiential, educational, and social enterprise projects focusing on regenerative food, energy, building, economic, and eco-social systems.
With specialties in research, writing/editing, regenerative systems design, ecopedagogy, agroecology, curriculum design, program development and management, community engagement, youth mentoring, permaculture, and eco-building, Teri brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work.
Her professional experience includes leadership in ecopedagogy curriculum design, permaculture, and organic food systems project development and management, outdoor experiential education, natural resource management, community outreach, general construction, eco-building, and small-scale renewable energy.
Teri's educational background includes a Bachelor of Art in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Ecopedagogy from Grand Valley State University, an Agricultural Technology Certificate in Organic Farming from Michigan State University, and various other certifications and degrees highlighting her commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Teri has contributed her expertise to organizations such as Baker College, Deliberate mEarth Regenerative Designs, McLaughlin Grows Urban Farm, and Grand Haven Area Public Schools, among others, where she has held roles ranging from adjunct faculty to program coordinator, site coordinator, and local foods coordinator.
Her passion for sustainable practices and community engagement is evident through her varied experiences as a farm intern, student organic farmer, outdoor experiential educator, dog musher, park officer, wildlife technical field assistant, and park ranger at organizations like Five Springs Farm and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
With a strong foundation in education, hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, and a demonstrated commitment to holistic and regenerative practices, Teri VanHall continues to make a positive impact in the fields of sustainability, education, and community development.
