Teri Bradford Rouse '77 is a retired Senior Director of Alumni and Parent Relations at Westmont College.12 She graduated from Westmont in 1977 with a major in sociology and later earned a master's degree at USC in counselor education with an emphasis in college student development.1
Teri's career at Westmont College spanned several decades. She worked as a resident director, director of residence life, and associate dean of students from 1981 to 1998.1 After a period working in the Santa Barbara non-profit community, including as executive director of the Youth and Family Services Branch of the Channel Islands YMCA, she returned to Westmont in 2008 as senior director of alumni and parent relations.1 She retired from this position in 2019.1
In her retirement, Teri has remained active in the Westmont community. She has earned certification as a spiritual director and seeks to encourage women to grow in their faith.1 Recently, she co-launched a Women's Mentoring Program at Westmont with her longtime friend Denise Jackson '78, focusing on spiritual mentoring for senior women students.1
Teri's commitment to Westmont is deeply personal. She credits the college for fostering her spiritual growth and shaping her worldview, saying, "At Westmont, the soil of my life grew more fertile for intimacy with Christ and thinking deeply about the world and my unique call in it".1
