Teik Tan

Teik Guan Tan is a seasoned professional with a strong background in cryptographic security design and integration. He has a track record of successfully implementing projects such as CAs, smart cards, HSMs, and authentication servers for various entities including banks, government agencies, and enterprises.

With over a decade of experience, Teik Guan Tan played a pivotal role in leading DS3 from organic growth to Series A funding, culminating in its acquisition by a multinational corporation. He currently serves as an Angel Investor for deep tech startups and holds the position of Venture Partner at EF.

Teik Guan Tan's expertise spans across a wide range of specialties including smart cards, cryptographic security, two-factor authentication, EMV, certification authorities, TCP/IP security, payment systems, entrepreneurship, business development, team management, and coaching.

He pursued his academic journey by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cybersecurity from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and holds a BSc/MSc in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore.

Throughout his career, Teik Guan Tan has been associated with reputable organizations such as Entrepreneur First, VASCO Data Security, Infocomm Investments Pte Ltd, Gemalto, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he held various key positions ranging from Venture Partner to CEO/CTO.
