Horizon is a cell engineering company focused on commercialising the application of gene editing and gene modulation to accelerate scientific innovation and biopharmaceutical drug development. It was listed on AIM until December 2020 when it was purchased by PerkinElmer, Inc.

● 	Brought in to prepare Horizon to dual list on NASDAQ and to manage and lead a team of 3 lawyers which increased to 5 lawyers and 3 intellectual property specialists. 
● 	Required to strategise and deliver three key projects- a business sale, and two inbound licences of two gene editing technologies (CRISPR and Base Editing) - strengthening Horizon’s investment case for listing on NASDAQ, against a very aggressive timetable.
●	Accountability for delivery of the legal aspects of Horizon’s proposed dual listing on NASDAQ.  
●	Worked closely with the Chair, to successfully sell Horizon to PerkinElmer at a 100% premium.
●	Successfully implemented a contract lifecycle management system, board portal and insider list management tool.
●	Negotiated in-bound licenses for gene editing technologies and cell-lines and, out-bound licenses, collaboration and R&D agreements relating to drug discovery, biotherapeutic manufacturing using engineered cell lines and cell biology with pharma, CROs and CMOs.

Qualcomm Halo's mission was to create the market for wirelessly charged electric vehicles.  

●	Designed and implemented a scalable business model comprising patent licensing, technical documentation, engineering support and software licensing.
●	Part of a team that negotiated 11 licenses of Qualcomm wireless charging technology for electric vehicles. 
●	Negotiated the agreement for Qualcomm Halo to participate in the FABRIC wireless dynamic charging project.  Participants were international automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and academic institutions. Qualcomm Halo built an innovative 100m dynamic charging track. 
●	Negotiated the agreements for Qualcomm to be a founder of Formula E and the sponsorship and technology partner agreements with Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

●	Negotiation of global software license and support agreements with the Vodafone Group and the Telefonica Group including complex privacy provisions.
●	Sale of Xiam Interactive, a wholly owned subsidiary, providing SMS messaging and voting services in Ireland.  A key contract was for voting services for the Eurovision Song Contest.

●	Member of the Executive Team which successfully rescued, restructured, regenerated and ultimately, successfully sold the company in a lengthy auction process. 
●	Legal and operational input as a member of the Executive Review Board, the Operational Board and the Group Bid Review Board.
●	Assembled and managed a team of 10, comprising lawyers and contract managers. Maintained the team's focus and commitment of the team during the regeneration and sale processes.
●	The legal and commercial renegotiation of key contracts critical to the survival of the business; in particular negotiating and revising key NHS National Programme for IT contracts with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and Accenture, resulting in the withdrawal of Accenture from the Programme and the transfer of its obligations to CSC, and negotiation of new finance arrangements. 
●	During a time of crisis, administrating of the Board and committees, dealing with governance and compliance issues, and putting in place retention packages, transaction bonuses, and D&O insurance.
●	Managed various internal investigations and responses to regulatory investigations, including an SFO investigation into potential accounting irregularities and insider trading.

RHM was a branded food business operating in the UK and Ireland.  Its principal brands were Hovis, Mr Kipling, Sharwood's, Robinson's and Bisto.

●	Refinancing of acquisition finance by way of an innovative £650m asset backed whole business securitisation including the trade mark portfolio within the required period following acquisition of the Group by Doughty Hanson to avoid increased financing costs.
●	Brought the management of in the international trade mark portfolio in house to improve the service and reduce costs.
●	Managed a team of 5, comprising lawyers and trade mark attorneys.
