Teesta Jain

Teesta Jain, PhD, is a prominent figure at the Innovation and Research Park of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFU), where she serves as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence. In this role, she manages a portfolio of grants aimed at supporting incubator companies that focus on developing innovative solutions in areas such as cancer therapeutics, neuroscience devices, digital health technologies, and therapeutic devices.12

Dr. Jain joined RFU in 2020 and has since been instrumental in launching initiatives like the SBIR/STTR Development Center, which helps small businesses navigate non-dilutive funding and regulatory pathways for their technologies.1 Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University, complemented by postdoctoral experiences at Harvard Medical School and the University of California, Davis.13

Before her tenure at RFU, Dr. Jain worked in various capacities, including technology transfer and consultancy roles, where she provided research support and guidance to clients on experimental design and regulatory matters.1 Her expertise not only contributes to the growth of startups but also enhances the university's ecosystem for innovation in health sciences.
