Taylor Nelsen is a dedicated professional with a strong academic background in horticulture, agronomy, and environmental science. They pursued a Master of Science in Horticulture and Agronomy at the prestigious University of California, Davis, where they specialized in grain cropping systems. Prior to this, Taylor completed a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with an impressive 3.7 GPA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Their educational journey began at Watauga High School.
Taylor has gained valuable experience through various roles in different organizations. They currently serve as an Assistant Specialist at UC Davis in the Grain Cropping Systems Lab, where they contribute their expertise and skills to the agricultural research field. Previously, Taylor worked as a Work Study at the NC Botanical Gardens in the Coker Arboretum, gaining hands-on experience in botanical studies. They also interned at the GoldenLEAF Scholars Internship Program, providing them with practical insights into the industry. Furthermore, Taylor has research experience from their time as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis in the Grain Cropping Systems Lab and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS).
