Tasso Lakas is a seasoned professional in the motion picture film industry, having approved over 740 Canadian films for production in the last 15 years, boasting a remarkable track record of 4,300 successful international and national festival acceptances with over 450 awards across various film categories. With a diverse background, Tasso has held key roles such as a content officer at Telefilm Canada and CBC TV Variety Network, and has excelled as a literary agent, negotiating the sale of international literary properties to global markets.

Furthermore, Tasso is the author of The TiP Legacy Project, a significant contribution to the Ontario Media Development Program and ACTRA Toronto, commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the Toronto indie Production program. Noteworthy for his work as a screenwriter and producer, Tasso was a finalist in the prestigious 2013 and 2014 Canada China Film Gate script competition, known for his distinctive and original storytelling approach.
