Offering a hybrid ecosystem of hyperlocal micro fulfillment centers (dark stores), as well as a “Personal Shopper” service, shopping on customer behalf from local stores, and deliver it to the customer, with no integration efforts or operational cost on the store. QX is the Operational Arm for Quicko, offering on-demand last-mile delivery services to Quicko, and any other 3rd party merchants.
Quicko's mission is to raise the bar for customers’ price, selection and delivery speed expectations, by pioneering the on-demand delivery experience, and empowering offline businesses & local stores. Adding value, not overhead.

elGrocer - Online Grocery Delivery

Leading the product and technology, building the technology and product function and hiring the org from scratch to own the most important components of the Marketplace platform, and define the strategy and the roadmap on both product and technology.
Assure that we are working as a lean organization and switch the company to be data-driven by building the data engineering stack and assure an infrastructure as a coding strategy on AWS to make the team agile and the tech function as lean as possible.
Also, support sales by integrating with CRM solution and customer care and support Zendesk tools for managing incidents and customer relations.
Rebuild the Operations process and define new SAPs that focus on providing better visibility and enhance the efficiency and quality of delivery.

Leading the Technology stack for the entire company, reporting directly to the CEO, and managing all the tech hubs for fetchr (4 Hubs with 90+ resources) to deliver the company goals and products, directing the team to be focused on building the technology stack in all perspectives (R&D, Process, Architecture, Design, Development, Testing, verification, maintenance, Client Integration, and tech support).
Main Achievements:
- Scaling the legacy systems 30 times the old capacity to cover the huge growth.
- Designing and delivering a new system using the latest tech stacks and standards using microservices, cloud services to retire the legacy systems
- Defining the suitable processes that meet the business model and the work environment
- Forcing technology standards in all aspects and enhance the quality and improve the speed of execution of the remote teams and increasing the team collaboration and communication to achieve the business needs
- Moving the infrastructure to a mature cloud solution (AWS) and utilizing the capabilities to assure disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Beefing up the team size from 25 to 90+ and defining new org structure and functions in the organization.
- Engaging in all board meetings and discussions, managing all demonstration for reports and presentations for the board and potential investors and all big clients.

Vendor Management, working with Vendors as full dedicated resources and 3rd Party vendor’s management as deliveries, standards, acceptance criteria, phasing out the product and integration, system architecture and all development standards (Security, Performance, Scalability, Availability, etc…). Exiting vendors and handing over solutions to decrease the cost of the products and switching to be independent on IPs and other core system integrators.

Focusing on the development policies and processes to enhance the development life cycle, making it more Agile, improving the execution and quality of delivrables, supporting business in term of decreasing the cost and setting proper strategy and focus.

Improving the Architecture and team awareness across all development standards and setting it to be part of the development process to have high performed products, secure and targeted our users on all screens and devices, and easy to maintain.

Managing the integrations with any in-house or third parties, working from the beginning of the development process starting from the collecting requirements and the business needs, building wireframes using MS Visio and writing SRS documents.

Having the responsibility of managing deadlines for the team and a reference for all problems and cases require help and support, handling the integrations with other parties & doing researches.
