After studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Bath, Tarek began his career as an IT technician before moving to roles in mobile device engineering, mobile web evangelism, and new media analysis. Tarek's career in journalism began at Al Jazeera English, where he worked as a Senior Analyst, before moving into freelance producing and directing.
