Taral Desai

Taral Desai is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience in international finance, specializing in trade financing, tax planning & compliance, budgeting, costing, internal control, and reporting according to IFRS, US GAAP, and Indian GAAP standards.

He has a strong track record in business transformation within large corporate environments, particularly in the steel, pharmaceutical, and FMCG industries, having spent 13 years with the ArcelorMittal group in Europe.

Taral has demonstrated expertise in implementing highly automated processes utilizing SAP & BAAN ERP systems and currently holds a senior leadership position at a research-driven pharmaceutical company in the UK.

His educational background includes a BCom, ACA, and ICWA from the University of Mumbai, and additional studies at Dakshinamurti, Bhavnagar.

Throughout his career, Taral has held key financial roles such as CFO at Liberty Industries Group Europe and UK within GFG Alliance, Vice President Finance for Europe and Emerging Markets at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, and CFO at various divisions of ArcelorMittal including ArcelorMittal Sourcing in Luxembourg and ArcelorMittal Ostrava.

He has also served in financial capacities at Dabur India Limited, Roofit Industries Ltd, SWAN Mills Ltd, and as an Article at Rashmi Zaveri & Co.
