Tara Mohtadi

Tara Mohtadi is a Research Assistant at the MIT Norman B. Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism, where she focuses on urban studies and sustainable development. She holds a Master's degree in City Planning, which underpins her work in participatory research and community engagement.

Born and raised in Minneapolis to Iranian immigrant parents, Tara has developed a strong commitment to housing justice and resource organizing. She is actively involved with the Right to the City Alliance, where she contributes to grassroots organizing efforts aimed at empowering communities and advocating for equitable urban policies.3
