Education and Early Involvement
Tara attended San Diego State University (SDSU), where she studied Journalism and Media Studies. From 2011 to 2020, Tara worked for a leading solar and energy storage developer in San Diego, where she served as the Director of Community Development. Her efforts contributed to the company receiving numerous awards for community involvement. Additionally, she founded the San Diego Solar Coalition to advocate for solar energy amidst regulatory challenges, which later became part of the California Solar Energy Association.1
Tara has also held leadership positions within various organizations, including being the Chair of the California Solar + Storage Association's San Diego chapter and serving as board president for GRID Alternatives San Diego. Her work has earned her recognition as one of San Diego's 40 Leaders Under 40 by the San Diego Business Journal.12

As a self-employed consultant, Tara utilizes her extensive experience to guide businesses in implementing effective CSR strategies and sustainability practices. Her focus includes promoting renewable energy solutions and advocating for community engagement in environmental initiatives.3
