Tara Donnelly

Tara Donnelly is an experienced CEO and Director with a diverse background spanning 22 years, primarily within the NHS, the voluntary sector, and various think tanks. She has transitioned to working independently and excels in improvement, digital leadership, innovation adoption, and implementing new care models. Tara's expertise is supported by a strong foundation in digital technologies, NHS management, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to drive significant outcomes.

Throughout her career, Tara has held significant leadership positions, including two Chief Executive roles at the Health Innovation Network and West Middlesex University Hospital. Prior to these roles, she served as the Director of Operations at the Whittington Hospital and in strategic director roles at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), culminating in her position as the Chief Digital Officer at NHSX/NHS England. Notably, she has also contributed her expertise in non-executive Board roles at organizations such as the Nuffield Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support, where she held the Senior Independent Director role.

Tara Donnelly is the President of the Health CEOs' Club and the Founder of Digital Care, a specialized consultancy that focuses on digital home care solutions for clients in both the NHS and the private sector. She is recognized as a thought leader in this field, frequently speaking and publishing on digital care topics. Additionally, Tara holds an honorary senior lecturer position in the school of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Central Lancashire.

Tara's academic background includes studies in Business Administration and Management at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Language from King's College London, and a Master's degree in Management from Middlesex University. Furthermore, she has received additional training from renowned institutions such as King's Fund and the NHSI Programme for CEOs.
