Tanya Jachimiak

Tanya Jachimiak is the Director of the Office of Gender Equity and Access, Title IX Coordinator, and Section 504/ADA Coordinator at Kalamazoo College. She has over 20 years of experience in higher education and is recognized as a senior legal compliance professional. Her role involves overseeing compliance with Title IX and other laws related to gender equity and access, ensuring a safe and equitable environment for all students and staff at the college.124

In her position, Jachimiak is responsible for managing the college's policies against harassment and discrimination, facilitating supportive measures for affected individuals, and conducting investigations related to complaints of discrimination and harassment based on sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity. She also collaborates with various departments to promote awareness and prevention programs on campus.123

Before her current role at Kalamazoo College, Jachimiak held significant positions, including serving as the Associate Vice President for the Office for Civil Rights at Michigan State University.5
