Tanya L. Downing is the Executive Director of Hope Clinic of Garland, a facility that provides free medical services to residents of Dallas County, Texas. She has a strong background in fundraising and healthcare management, having previously served as the Major and Planned Gifts Director for the Emergency Medicine Foundation.
Downing has been recognized for her leadership in philanthropy, notably serving as co-chair for the AFP Greater Dallas Chapter’s "The Stars of Texas" celebration for National Philanthropy Day. She made history as the first Black leader to chair this event in 2011. Additionally, she is the founder of The Color of Money, a network aimed at supporting fundraisers of color.34
