Tanuj Apte is the CEO and co-founder of Autopods Inc., a company pioneering first-and-last mile transportation using electric pedicabs.12 He spent most of his life in Dubai, UAE and Mumbai, India before moving to the United States to attend Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.1 At Carnegie Mellon, Apte majored in Information Systems with a minor in Business Administration.1
The idea for Autopods was inspired during a visit to Mumbai, where Apte realized the potential of introducing a micro-transportation service in the US market.1 He founded the company in 2014 and has been serving as its CEO since then.2
In addition to his role at Autopods, Apte is also involved in helping other startups create MVPs using web and mobile technologies.3 He is currently based in Albertson, NY, and holds a position as Director at Access Heroes.4
