Tanish Thakker is a seasoned professional with a diverse background, having lived and worked in India, the USA, and the UK for over 12 years. His expertise spans across skills development, startup incubation, and music management.
During his tenure at the University of Northampton in the UK, Tanish established the Center for Employability, focusing on empowering students with essential soft skills crucial for the professional landscape. He also co-authored a textbook titled 'Career Development and Employability Skills' for a specialized course at the university.
Transitioning to the startup ecosystem in India, Tanish contributed significantly to the industry through engagements with various entities including Startup Village in Kerala, Zone Startups India, and Round Glass Venture Capital. His efforts impacted over 100 startups, facilitating their growth and scalability.
Presently, Tanish holds the role of Partner at Gatecrash, a prominent music agency dedicated to nurturing the independent music scene in India. Prior to this, he played a pivotal role as part of the core team at The Quarter, a distinguished music venue in Mumbai, where he oversaw logistics, artist and repertoire (A&R), programming, sponsorships, and event production.
Tanish's educational journey includes pursuing Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) from RA Podar College of Commerce and Economics, along with completing his Bachelors at The University of Northampton. He also studied at Sinclair Community College.
