Tanay Kumar

Tanay Kumar is the CEO, Co-founder, and Chief Creative Officer of Fractal Ink Design Studio Pvt. Ltd., a leading experiential design studio in India.12 With over 16 years of experience, he spearheads design strategy and visual design at the company.13

Kumar's entrepreneurial journey began at IIT Bombay, where he launched Ambiaance Designs with his partner Priyanka Agrawal in 2002.1 After selling this venture in 2006, he worked as a creative head at LBI in London until 2010.1 He then founded Fractal Ink with three other co-founders, growing it from a 7-person company to a team of 100 in 8 years.1

Under Kumar's leadership, Fractal Ink specializes in helping clients define and plan their entire Customer Experience (CX) roadmap, as well as designing and executing best-in-class experiences.1 The company provides services across the CX spectrum, including digital strategy, UX, UI, front-end engineering, and motion graphics.1

In December 2016, Fractal Ink was acquired by Dentsu Aegis Network, with Kumar joining the Dentsu Aegis leadership team in India.2 He reports to Ashish Bhasin, the Chairman and CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network South Asia.2

Kumar is also involved in mentoring UX groups and design incubators, and helps educational institutions formulate their design curricula to align with industry needs.1
