As Regional Director, I am responsible for the planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of the Community Support Program, delivering services to approximately 7,500 clients in the Western Region. I support and lead a team of 120 employees and take proactive steps to mitigate risk.  During my time in this role, some of my achievements are as follows:
•	Providing oversight and direction for a variety of programs, including Home Support Programs, 
        Residential Services, Adult Protection, Assessment and Placement, Continuing Care Nursing, Social 
        Work Services, Behavioural Management Services, Client Financial Services, and Community 
        Services.
•	Leading a range of change initiatives to improve efficiencies in the health sector, utilizing 
        resources effectively to meet performance targets. Some key examples include:
•	Significantly decreasing patient wait times and length of stay in hospital;
•	Improving access to End of Life Services in the community;
•	Achieving “lowest cost per client” for Home Support Services compared to other health regions;
•	Decreasing admission to Long-term care facilities by 30%; and
•	Enhancing employee productivity by up to 20% and exceeded home visiting targets by 75%.
•	Building and enforcing formal operating procedures; increasing efficiency and consistency and 
        resulted in greater transparency and improved decision-making within a budget of $92M.
•	Establishing strong, professional, strategic partnerships with stakeholders at all levels to develop a 
        high-level of community support.
•	Representing the organization as Principal Investigator for the DIVERT Trial-A Multi Provincial 
        Pragmatic Cluster Randomized Trial of Cardio-Respiratory Management in Home Care.

Western Health

Regional Director - Community Support Program

Responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of primary health care and health promotion initiatives throughout the Western Region, including community capacity building and wellness initiatives. Some select accomplishments include:
•	Facilitating the implementation of a health promotion framework within Western Regional Health 
        Authority, which resulted in the establishment of a best practice approach to improve physical 
        activity, valuable life skills, and community involvement for the target population.
•	Liaising collaboratively with community partners and government agencies, improving health 
        outcomes by using a population health approach to service delivery.
•	Successfully leading clients, families, professionals, and colleagues through transformational 
        change by effectively motivating them to achieve results.

Regional Director Health Promotion and Primary Health Care

As Project Coordinator, I worked with a multi-disciplinary Planning Team, responsible for the Redevelopment of Regional Acute Care Services within the Corner Brook area. Key achievements:
•	Orchestrated the planning and design of a brand new 200 bed regional acute care hospital. 
•	Fostered strong relationships with all stakeholders to manage change and facilitate information 
        sharing, significantly enhancing planning and design functions.
•	Collaborated closely with various government departments, private firms, employees, physicians 
        and managers to develop a strategic plan and design to meet business needs and fiscal 
        responsibilities. 
•	Organized evidence and presented analytical information to Senior Management for decision 
        making

Project Coordinator - New Acute Care Hospital

As Community Support Manager, accountable for the development, implementation and evaluation of all community-based residential services within the Community Support Program across the Western region. In this role, I: 
•	Established partnerships with non-profit and private sector organizations, while building strong 
        teams through the use of effective and transparent communication strategies.
•	Researched unique models for residential services for adults with disabilities,
•	Developed policies and systems to guide employees, effectively setting them up for success.
