Tammy Faxel

Tammy Faxel was the publisher at Midwest Tape's Dreamscape Media, LLC.12 She passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2020, at the age of 55.1

Faxel joined Dreamscape in July 2014 as director of business development and quickly rose to the publisher position.1 Under her leadership, Dreamscape experienced growth, innovation, and recognition, including over 50 AudioFile Earphone Awards and several Audie Award nominations, with their first Audie Award win in 2018.1

During her tenure, Faxel expanded Dreamscape's audiobook publishing program to over 900 titles annually and led the company's expansion into iconographic video and film distribution.1 She was known for her dedication, mentorship, and passion, and was remembered as a dynamic leader who was supportive, thoughtful, and kind.1

Faxel had over 35 years of experience in the publishing industry, beginning her career at Tyndale House Publishers alongside her mother.1 Before joining Dreamscape, she held leadership positions at IBS-STL GLOBAL, Oasis Audio, and Amazon Publishing.1
