Tamaswati Ghosh

Tamaswati Ghosh is the CEO of the IIT Madras Incubation Cell (IITMIC), a prominent deep-tech startup hub located within the IIT Madras Research Park in Chennai, India. She has held this position since March 2013, leading initiatives that support over 330 startups valued at approximately $4.8 billion.12

Educational Background:: Ghosh possesses a strong academic foundation, holding a PhD in Molecular Biophysics from Imperial College London, where she also completed her Master's degree in Structural Biology. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Queen's University, Canada.12

Professional Experience:: Before her role at IITMIC, Ghosh served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Sperkjet East Africa Ltd, an SAP ERP partner in Kenya, and as Director at Skylark Ltd, an FMCG company. She is also involved with IIT Madras's Rural Technology and Business Incubator (RTBI) and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIT Madras.123
