He attended Muscle Shoals High School before pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama. Additionally, he participated in the Summer College for High School Students program at the University of Mississippi, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Throughout his career, Taft has held various key roles in renowned organizations. Currently, he serves as a Partner at EnPower Solutions, where he contributes his expertise to drive success and innovation.

Prior to his current position, Taft worked as a Project Development Engineer at Southern Power, gaining valuable experience in project management and development within the energy sector.

His professional journey also includes roles such as Systems Engineer (Nuclear Steam Supply System) at Southern Company, System Engineering Intern at Tennessee Valley Authority, and Logistics Intern at TNT Fireworks (Corporate).
