Sylvanus Bockarie, originally from Freetown, Sierra Leone, made his way to Derby, England after the civil-war in 2002.
His passion and involvement in football (soccer) have been prominent throughout his life. He engaged with professional youth academies before moving to the U.S.A in 2013.
Sylvanus has been scouted by various football clubs such as Derby County FC, Nottingham Forest FC, Wolverhampton FC, and others. Despite not being signed initially, his perseverance led him to secure opportunities with West Bromwich Albion FC and Barnsley F.C.
A setback in the form of a career-threatening injury in 2011 did not deter him from pursuing his dreams. He continued his education journey, currently working on completing his Associates in Arts Degree in the U.S.A with a future goal of obtaining a Bachelors in Sports Management.
Standing at 6'1, Sylvanus specializes as a centre back but is versatile in playing right back and holding midfield roles. He describes himself as quick, physical, technical, tactical, and skillful, with a love for running with the ball and attacking.
He aspires to return to the professional football scene and believes in his capability to perform at the highest level with the right support.
