Sybil Francis

Sybil Francis is a prominent leader in Arizona, serving as the President and CEO of the Center for the Future of Arizona since July 2018. She has been with the organization since its inception in 2002, initially serving as Executive Director for 16 years. Her career is marked by significant roles in academia and public policy. She is a Faculty Affiliate at the School of Public Affairs and an Affiliated Scholar at the Center for Science, Policy and Outcomes at Arizona State University since 2011. Previously, she held positions such as Special Advisor to the President at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and Senior Policy Analyst at the White House Office of Science and Technology.1

Sybil Francis holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Government from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Oberlin College. Her professional journey also includes serving as Senior Legislative Director for Science and Technology Policy for Representative George E. Brown, Jr..1
