Sushant Mahajan

Sushant Mahajan is currently a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon (AWS) with previous experience working as a Software Developer at SAP Labs India Pvt. Ltd.

He holds an MTech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay and a BTech in Computer Science from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida.

Sushant has a keen interest in Cryptography, Software Architecture, Cloud Computing, and Machine Learning.

His vast array of technologies includes JAVA, C/C++, Python, Linux, Lisp, Golang, Spring, Web Scripting, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Node.js, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, and more.

At Amazon, Sushant is a key member of the Search Services team focusing on designing, troubleshooting, and enhancing features for managed services. His main areas of expertise at Amazon are Python, Golang, AWS, and containers.

During his tenure at SAP Labs, Sushant worked on developing scalable cloud applications within the Platform as a Service (PaaS) domain with a focus on software architecture, Cloudfoundry, Go, Java, Node.js, Openstack, Design Patterns, and AWS.

For his Masters Project, Sushant explored homomorphic encryption schemes such as the Zhou and Wornell Scheme to enable machine learning and statistical algorithms to work with encrypted data achieving commendable accuracies in scenarios like linear regression and multi-party data encoding.

His academic pursuits include projects in Machine Learning where he developed a neural network classifier for email spam detection and regression models for demand prediction using tools such as Weka, Python, and scikit-learn. In the Cloud domain, he implemented a distributed replicated key-value store using Go.

Sushant also has 2 years of experience as a Java Developer at CSC India Pvt. Ltd. His educational background includes ISC in PCM+Computer Science, BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, and a stellar 9.07 CGPA in MTech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay.
