With a career spanning over 30 years, Susanna is a seasoned leader in international development, specializing in private sector development, business management, rural and economic development, privatization, export, and tourism.
She excels in conducting institutional and program assessments, economic and market feasibility analyses, strategic planning, and workshop organization and facilitation.
Susanna has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing Chemonics' business development vision to achieve significant impact and results.
Her expertise extends to managing development programs in Latin America, the Caribbean, Russia, and Eastern Europe, combining sustainable natural resource management with private sector initiatives.
She holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Latin American Studies from Oberlin College.
Beyond her current role as President and CEO, Susanna has held various positions at Chemonics International, including Executive Vice President, Acting Chief of Party, Senior Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean Region, Group Manager for Economic Growth Practice Area, and Project Supervisor for Europe and Newly Independent States Region.
Prior to her tenure at Chemonics, she worked as a Manager at Ernst & Young, a Regional Development Specialist at the Organization of American States, and a Tourism Development Specialist at the Program of Tourism Development at OAS.
