Susan Talbot is an accomplished and versatile professional with a wealth of experience in the film, television, and digital media production industry. She is currently serving as the Network Manager for Immersive Technologies at Skillnet Ireland, where she spearheads the delivery of customized learning programs and development solutions for Irish businesses in the Immersive Technologies sector.
Susan's exceptional journey in the industry began as a freelance editor for R.T.E and numerous independent film and television companies in Ireland. She later moved to St. Paul, Minnesota in the US, where she continued working in post-production and taught part-time at an Avid certified training center. She also won the Regional Emmy Award for Documentary Editing and worked on National Emmy Award-winning shows for PBS.
Susan has extensive experience in both production and post-production through her various roles in different organizations. She co-founded Goodlooking Films, Aerial Filming Ireland, and Skytango, the first drone workflow management platform. She was also a former Producer-Editor at Goodlooking Films, Senior Producer at Skytango, and producer at Aerial Filming Ireland. She even lectured at the Minnesota School of Business and was an Adjunct Professor of Digital Media Production at Hamline University.
Furthermore, Susan earned a B.A in Film Production with 1st Class Honors (Level 8) and a QQI Level 8 in Film & Television Production from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design, and Technology. She also completed the Hi Fliers Program in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations and studied QQI Level 7 in E-commerce and Digital Marketing at Dublin Business School.
