    Susan Hansen is an Inclusive Design Strategist with a passion for creating innovative technology solutions that are useful, usable, inclusive, and culturally relevant. With 18 years of experience as a researcher and 15 years as an Experience/User Experience (UX)/Service Designer, Susan has been involved in diverse and exciting projects, including telemedicine systems and educational games.

    Susan recently completed her PhD in Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) from the University of Technology Sydney, focusing on designing e-service solutions in collaboration with communities in South Africa. She has a strong background in strategy, cross-cultural design, service design, research and evaluation, user experience, digital strategy, stakeholder analysis, product management, and telemedicine.

    Her education includes a PhD in Interaction Design from the University of Technology Sydney, an Exchange Semester at The University of British Columbia, and a Combined Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Social Science and Policy from the University of New South Wales. Susan has also held various roles in prestigious organizations such as the University of Technology Sydney, Tobias Australia, HeathWallace, The Search Party, U1 Group, Digital Eskimo, Rhodes University, Reed House Systems, and CSIRO, where she has contributed as a Human Centred Design Lead, Experience Designer, User Research Lead, Product Manager, Experience Architect, Visiting Researcher, Product Lead, Applied Social Research Tutor, User Experience Researcher, and Service Designer.
