Susan Furnell, an industry expert in Industry 4.0 and digital transformation, has made a name for herself in revolutionizing business models, value chains and organizational structures of industries by advocating for decentralization, blockchain, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), DEFI, tokenization, IOT, data analytics, and AI. Furnell is known for her deep-rooted expertise in the Telecommunications and Energy sectors and has expanded her interests to include the application of her principles in Insurance. She assists companies and Boards in developing strategies to take advantage of opportunities that arise through digital transformations and prepare measures to face any forthcoming challenges. Furnell is also a regular speaker at major conferences in Europe and the US, addressing smart energy, connected home, and blockchain topics. She has previously chaired a London blockchain conference and moderated the energy sector blockchain panel at the big New York Consensus blockchain event in May 2017. Furnell holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering from the University of Warwick and was formerly Senior Manager at Kerdan Strategy Consultants and Head of Strategy at British Telecom.
