Susan Crane

Susan Crane is a senior leader with over 25 years' experience in the UK charity, international development, higher education, research, and NHS sectors.

At age 25, Susan established and expanded a UK international health NGO, implementing innovative health programs in over 25 developing countries.

She has worked as a freelance consultant in global health and served as Deputy Director of a large academic department at the UCL Institute for Global Health, managing substantial research grant funding across multiple developing countries.

In her recent role, Susan focused on delivering NHS service improvement research and evaluation, including commissioning an informatics tool for better data collection on children and young people in London.

Susan's expertise spans organizational development, change management, finance, program delivery, and distance management of staff globally.

She is actively involved in teaching at UCL and serves as an Honorary Lecturer, Board Trustee for national and local organizations, and volunteers for various groups addressing issues like asylum seekers, food poverty, and multiple sclerosis.

Susan Crane holds a Master of Science (MSc) with a focus on Voluntary Sector Management from Cass Business School, along with undergraduate degrees in Women's Studies and Psychology.

Her educational journey includes studying at Trinity School in NY, NY, the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and Hamilton College.

Susan has held key positions in several organizations, including roles at UCL, UCLPartners, Regent's University London, UCL Institute for Global Health, and various health-focused consultancies and NGOs.
