Susan Chambers

Susan Chambers is a highly experienced professional with over 30 years in the manufacturing and retailing industries.

She served as the executive vice president and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for Walmart, managing the world's largest private workforce of over 2 million associates.

During her tenure at Walmart, Susan handled compensation, recruiting, development, retention initiatives, benefits, and communications globally.

She also oversaw human resource technology, culture, diversity, inclusion, and regulatory issues.

Prior to her role as CHRO, Susan held executive positions in various corporate functions, including I/T, risk management, and benefits administration at Walmart.

Before joining Walmart, she had a successful 14-year career at Hallmark Cards, Inc., where she held roles in I/T and Finance, eventually becoming the Director of Application Development.

Susan is a sought-after speaker on culture and leadership, having presented at prestigious institutions like Duke University, West Point, and the U.S. Naval Academy.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Systems and Data Processing from William Jewell College.

Currently, Susan serves on multiple boards including Berlin Packaging, USA Truck, Inc., Arkansas State Board of Education, and more, where she holds leadership positions on compensation and audit committees.
