Suresh Rao

Suresh Rao is an accomplished individual known for creating innovative entrepreneurship programs for both budding and growth stage entrepreneurs. He is the Co-ordinator of the Start Your Business and Grow Your Business Programs.

With an educational background from IIM Ahmedabad, Suresh brings a wealth of experience in marketing turnarounds and developing ventures in traditional as well as new economy sectors. Before joining SPJIMR as a Marketing Professor in 2000, he served as the CEO of a multinational Telecom services company.

Collaborating with Ms. Laura Parkin, Executive Director NEN, Suresh spearheaded the successful annual entrepreneurial event at SPJIMR, Lock, Stock, and Trade. This event aims to connect college students with entrepreneurs from India and abroad through an interactive mock IPO game.

His specialties include expertise in marketing, facilitating, mentoring, and a profound knowledge of entrepreneurship.

Suresh Rao's professional journey includes roles such as Chairperson at the Center for Entrepreneurship at S P Jain Institute of Management and Research, Group President and CEO at Easy Call Paging, and Deputy General Manager Electronic Business Equipment at Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd.
