Sunny Rochiramani

Sunny Rochiramani is the Vice President of Engineering at Descript, a role he has held since December 2019. In this position, he oversees all technical functions, including engineering, AI, data science, and quality assurance, focusing on developing collaborative tools for new media creators. Under his leadership, Descript has successfully raised $100 million in funding from notable investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and OpenAI.1

Prior to joining Descript, Rochiramani served as the Director of Engineering at Dropbox from October 2014 to December 2019, where he managed a team of over 50 engineers responsible for the Dropbox desktop application. His earlier experience includes roles at Pinterest, Amazon, and IBM, where he contributed to various software development projects and led teams in delivering significant products.1
