Sunil Samani

Sunil Samani is currently an Assistant Director/Senior Manager in Strategy and Transactions at EY (Ernst & Young). His professional journey began with an internship at EY during his university studies, which led to a graduate program that allowed him to complete his accountancy qualifications while gaining practical experience in the deals environment. Over four years, he worked closely with private equity (PE) firms, focusing on portfolio rationalization and investment transformations following the financial crash.1

After his tenure at EY, Samani transitioned to banking, joining Goldman Sachs as part of their global equity sales desk. There, he spent five years conducting research and pitching investment options to institutional investors. He later returned to EY, where he has continued to partner with mid and large-cap PE houses across various deal types and industries.1

Samani has developed a robust expertise in financial due diligence and has worked on significant projects, including refinancing processes for global independent school consolidators. His diverse experience spans identifying acquisition targets, optimizing strategies for bolt-on acquisitions, and managing company sales.1

Outside of work, Sunil enjoys running, racket sports, and five-a-side football. He values spending time with his family, including his wife Divya and their two children.1
