Summer Masters, DNP, is a highly experienced acute care nurse practitioner and nursing education professional who has made a significant impact in her profession. Dr. Masters holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Nursing Practice from the University of North Florida, and an AGNP-Post Masters Certificate, Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, 3.87 from the University of Massachusetts Boston, as well as an MSN-FNP from Research College of Nursing and a BSN from Graceland University.

With nearly 10 years of experience working as an acute care Nurse Practitioner and serving in various nursing-related roles, including Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner at EmCare, Sheridan Healthcorp and TSEA, Family & Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Faculty Member at Research College of Nursing, Community Liaison, Educator, and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at Kansas City Medical Partners & Complete Coverage, and Nurse Practitioner at CareNow, Dr. Masters is well-versed in acute care medicine and patient education.

At present, Dr. Masters serves as the Department of Nursing Chair at Park University where she coaches and collaborates with students and faculty. She is heavily involved in accreditation both at the state and national level, and she is a member of MONA, ANA, AANP, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has also served as the West Central Regional Chair of the Missouri Nurses Association.
