Sudeep Pillai

Sudeep Pillai is an accomplished professional with a strong background in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Robotics.

He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT, where his research focused on self-supervised perception and learning in SLAM-aware mobile robots.

During his tenure at Toyota Research Institute (TRI), Sudeep led the ML Engineering team and spearheaded their efforts in developing ML models for autonomous driving, specifically for Toyota's next-generation L4 autonomous vehicle fleet.

Sudeep has also worked as a research scientist at TRI, contributing to large-scale self-supervised learning initiatives for autonomous driving.

He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from MIT, where he also completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Sudeep's academic achievements include a summer internship at Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs (MERL) focusing on 3D stereo reconstruction techniques.

Prior to his current startup venture, Sudeep was the Co-Founder and CEO of Autonomi AI and held the positions of Manager and Team Lead, Machine Learning Engineering at TRI.

He has a diverse educational background, having studied at University of Michigan, University of California Berkeley, and Sharjah Indian School.

Sudeep has been associated with various organizations, including South Park Commons, On Deck, and PhaseSpace Inc., where he utilized his expertise in Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
