Stu Taylor is a renowned figure in the fintech industry, having co-founded and led the growth of Algomi, a leading information aggregator and network for banks and investment managers. His contributions to the industry have been widely recognized, having been named among the 40 most influential individuals in Fintech by the Wall Street Journal eFinancial News and in the top 40 of the global "Trading Technology 40" by Institutional Investor Magazine for three consecutive years.
Taylor began his career in the financial sector at Merrill Lynch, where he held the position of European eCommerce. He went on to work at UBS as MD and Head Global eBusiness, Fixed Income and later MD Global Head - Matched Principal Trading - Fixed Income. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors at Tradeweb. His leadership skills and expertise in fintech eventually led him to establish Algomi alongside Usman Khan, Rob Howes, and Michael Schmidt. Taylor headed Algomi as CEO, where he led the development of its award-winning information aggregators for banks and investment managers, its technology-powered exchanges, and its information network.
Taylor's contributions and expertise in fintech extend beyond Algomi. He has held various advisory positions, including Symphony.com, Insignis Cash Solutions, and Cloud9 Technologies, LLC, and he also served as Managing Partner at Firenze Partners. Currently, Taylor is the MD, Head of eTrading at MUFG, where he continues to drive innovation in the fintech space.
