Steven Waterhouse

Steven Waterhouse, also known as 7, is a renowned CEO and Co-founder of the Orchid Protocol, a blockchain-based privacy tool. Waterhouse is a proficient computer scientist and an expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI), having earned a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering from the University of Cambridge. He is also a former Venture Partner at Fabric Ventures and board member at Bitstamp.

As a partner at Pantera Capital, Waterhouse focused on cryptocurrency investments and worked with startups to develop innovative products, helping them to raise capital and formulate strategies. He also served as Managing Director of Intellectual Property Finance Group at Fortress Investment Group, where he gained immense experience in Intellectual Property.

Waterhouse has held numerous management positions and worked with leading companies such as Sun Microsystems and RPX Corporation. Notably, he was the CEO of Ultimode, an IT company, and the Chief Technology Officer at RPX Corporation, where he led the company's technology division.
