Steven Thai

Steven Thai is a seasoned communications professional with a background in public relations and crisis response strategy. He is currently the Public Relations and Crisis Response Strategy and Planning Senior Manager at Cargill, where he leads external communications, crisis communications strategy, and media relations for various functions. Prior to his current role, Steven managed corporate communications at Uponor North America and was a public relations manager for Deloitte Services LP. He also served as a spokesperson in the Office of Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy during the Obama Administration.

Before his career in public relations, Steven worked in politics as an intern for Obama for America, a regional college organizer for the ONE Campaign, and an Obama field organizer for the Iowa Democratic Party. He also served as the Press Secretary at the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund and Institute and worked for Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison as his interim finance and communications director.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Luther College and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Leadership from Hamline University. Despite his busy schedule, he finds time to pursue his passion for yoga, having previously worked as a yoga instructor at CorePower Yoga.
