Steven Short

Steven Short is an experienced sports executive with a strong focus on building relationships and delivering personalized world-class service within the sports industry. He has a diverse background in intercollegiate athletics, professional soccer, and licensing in the CPG and gaming sectors. With extensive experience in event management, Steven is also an active sports enthusiast and an emerging e-sports consumer.

Steven holds an MBA from the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business, along with an M.S. in Sport Management and a B.S. in Communications from the University of Tennessee. His educational journey also includes study periods at Carson-Newman University and Bullitt East High School.

Throughout his career, Steven Short has held various key roles in renowned organizations. He currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Expansion Club Strategy at United Soccer Leagues LLC (USL). Prior to this, he held the position of Senior Vice President of USL Division III and also served as the Vice President of Business Development within the company.

Before working at USL, Steven gained valuable experience in different capacities, including roles such as the Executive Director of League Growth and Partnerships, Sales Coordinator, and Marketing Coordinator at United Soccer Leagues LLC. His professional journey also includes positions like Marketing Coordinator at Electronic Arts (EA), Sales Coordinator at Manhattan Construction Company, and Marketing Coordinator at Disney Sports/ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Earlier in his career, Steven Short honed his skills through roles such as Account Specialist at MT Associates, Event Management Intern at Disney Sports/ESPN Wide World of Sports, Athletics Marketing Assistant and Graduate Assistant at the University of Tennessee, and Guest Relations Intern at Walt Disney World.
