Senior member of the UCLB exec management team, focusing specifically on the development of UCLB's investment initiatives & IP commercialisation activities across the non-biomedical faculties at UCL.   

Extensive experience of the development, raising and managing of investment funds, including the UCL Technology Fund 1 & 2 investment vehicles and UCLB's internal PoC & Seed Fund initiatives

Strong track record of spinout company development across the whole lifecycle from formation and investment through to growth & exit.   

Development of new mechanisms to enhance IP commercialisation ranging from Portico Ventures (simplifying non-patentable IP licensing) through to social venture support programmes to enhance UCLB’s reach and relevance. 

Innovation eco-system developments to enhance opportunity development, such as Mentors@UCLB programme which seeks to connect UCL academic entrepreneurs & UCLB BM's with external expertise for accelerated project progression.

Key personal successes have included: 

•	Senceive Ltd: provider of wirelLess-enabled condition monitoring solutions. Grew from early stage technology venture to a highly profitable provider of monitoring solutions to the rail and construction industry. Company acquired in April 2021 generating a 20+ EBITDA returns profile.    

•	Endomagnetics Ltd: Medical device company revolutionising breast cancer management through the use of innovative magnetic sensing technologies. Endomag’s solutions have to-date been used in over 400,000 surgical procedures.  

•	Advanced Design Technology Ltd: Turbomachinery design software that delivers significant performance & efficiency benefits across applications ranging from power generation to formula 1 motor-racing.  

•	e-lucid Solutions Ltd: innovative cloud-based IP licensing platform for commercialisation of lower value IP assets (www.e-lucid.com). Originally developed by UCLB to meet our needs & which has subsequently found application in the UK, Europe and USA.
