Steven McKnight

Dr. Steven McKnight holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Delaware and a B.S. in Materials Engineering from Virginia Tech.

With a rich history of leadership roles, Dr. McKnight has served as Vice President for Strategic Alliances as well as Vice President for the National Capital Region at Virginia Tech.

He has also held significant positions at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) including Senior Advisor in the Office of Buildings and Industry, Acting Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Office, and Chief of the Materials Division at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory.

Dr. McKnight's experience extends to the National Science Foundation where he served as Director of the Civil, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Innovation Division.

Throughout his career, Dr. McKnight has showcased his expertise in materials engineering, strategic alliances, and leadership, making him a valuable asset in various organizations and government agencies.
