Steven Mahan is an experienced professional with a long career in Milwaukee city government and academia. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Administration for the City of Milwaukee, a position to which he was appointed by Mayor Cavalier Johnson in January 2024.1 Prior to this role, Mahan led the Community Development Grants Administration division within the Department of Administration for over 25 years.1
