Steve Wilson

Steve Wilson is the Vice President of Student Engagement and Intercollegiate Athletics at William Woods University (WWU). He was promoted to this position on July 18, 2024, after serving as the Director of Athletics since December 2022. In his new role, Wilson is responsible for overseeing various aspects of student engagement, including student development, campus retention efforts, and several student services such as Residential Life, Counseling and Health Services, and Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.12

Prior to his tenure at WWU, Wilson held multiple roles focused on student engagement and athletics at different universities. His experience includes coordinating student housing and dining at Park University-Gilbert and serving on the President’s Council at Kansas Wesleyan University, where he also co-chaired the COVID-19 Task Force Working Group. Wilson is an alumnus of Kansas State University, where he was actively involved in the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.1
