Previously, Steve was the Northwest Editor at ProPublica, Data Team editor at USA TODAY, and held multiple Managing Producer positions at The Oregonian / OregonLive.com, including Watchdog & Data-Driven Enterprise, Data Hub, and Portland Team.

His professional experience also includes serving as the Assistant Team Leader for Breaking News at The Oregonian / OregonLive.com, Managing Partner at InfoLiberator LLC, and Co-founder of Nozzl Media Inc.

Before his editorial roles, Steve Suo had notable stints as a Senior Policy Adviser at Multnomah County, a Trainer at Poynter Institute, and as Adjunct Faculty at both the University of Portland and Portland Community College.

His journalism career began as a Staff Writer at The Oregonian and The Virginian-Pilot, where he honed his storytelling and investigative skills.
