Steve Richmond

Steve Richmond is the Founder and CEO of Projetech, Inc., a leading provider of IBM Maximo as a Service (MaaS). He established the company in 1990, transforming it from a small consulting firm into the world's largest provider of Maximo services. Under his leadership, Projetech has gained recognition as an IBM Gold Business Partner, winning several awards, including the 2012 IBM ASL Maximo Partner Excellence Award and being named a finalist for one of the Best Places to Work by The Cincinnati Business Courier in 2021.123

Born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Richmond began his career in the mechanical contracting industry before founding Projetech. He has over 30 years of experience in asset management and technology solutions.34 Richmond is also a published author, known for his book Working SMART: Success in Maintenance, Asset Management, and Reliability through Technology, which became an Amazon bestseller in its categories.12

In addition to his role at Projetech, he is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and holds certifications with several professional organizations, including the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) and the Association of Facilities Engineers (AFE).14 Richmond actively participates in industry discussions and initiatives aimed at enhancing technology's role in business efficiency and asset management.25
