Steve Pon is a professional with an exceptional background in gallery and museum exhibition production and project management. Pon's organizational skills were evident in his role where he revised and implemented Exhibition Production Procedures, resulting in improved efficiency of exhibition installations and enhanced communications with artists. During economic recessions, he successfully managed an intern program that contributed to exhibition installations, sales, administration, and events.
His strong writing and communication skills tripled the amount of publicity reviews for the gallery's exhibitions program. Pon also established valuable relationships with arts writers and the press. Additionally, he showcased innovation by conceptualizing and developing a highly successful annual fundraiser that is now in its 18th year of production.
Steve Pon pursued his education with an MA in Art, focusing on printmaking at San Jose State University. He previously held roles as Exhibitions Supervisor and Preparator at SFMOMA, as well as a Preparator at The Oakland Museum of California.
