Steve Mouzon
Steve Mouzon is a seasoned architect and town planner with a passion for promoting sustainable design. With a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from Ball State University, Steve is a principal of Studio Sky and the former owner of New Urban Guild and Mouzon Design. He has also served as a lecturer at the University of Miami and as an LP-TAG Member at the U.S. Green Building Council.
Steve has made significant contributions to the New Urbanism movement, creating the Katrina Cottages concept and designing Katrina Cottage VIII, which was awarded a Charter Award by the Congress for the New Urbanism. He is also a Town Architect at several new communities around the country, incorporating his unique method of communicating design principles rather than just particulars, resulting in distinctive and engaging living spaces.
Beyond his professional work, Steve is an accomplished author and speaker, having contributed to numerous publications, including Southern Living and McGraw-Hill. He is also the founder of the Guild Foundation, which sponsors workshops, tours, and seminars that bridge the gap between theory and practice. His work has earned him many accolades and has positioned him as a thought leader in his field.
